How to Start Skyweaver: Free TCG, Wallet Invisible
Skyweaver is a free trading card game you can play right now in a browser — no install, no wallet, no card purchases required. Every one of the 500+ base cards is earnable through play; the NFT layer only appears when you start winning Silver and Gold cards in ranked modes.
What Skyweaver is#
A proper TCG — hero-centric deckbuilding, deep card pool, ranked ladder — built by Sequence (the studio formerly known as Horizon Blockchain Games). It runs on Polygon under the hood, but you’d never know: there’s no wallet setup, no seed phrase, and no token to buy. One honest caveat to know upfront: since the Horizon-to-Sequence rebrand the game is maintained rather than actively expanded — the servers, ranked queue and card market all run, but don’t expect big new sets.
Requirements#
- A browser (or the iOS/Android/Windows/macOS apps — it’s on everything).
- An email address. That’s the whole account — the wallet is an invisible Sequence smart wallet created behind your login.
The start#
- Go to skyweaver.net and play in the browser, or install the app for your platform.
- Sign up with email — you now have an account and an invisible wallet without realizing it.
- Play through the tutorial and starter modes; the 500+ base cards unlock through normal play, not purchases.
- When you’re comfortable, try ranked — wins there are how Silver and Gold cards enter your collection.
What the NFT layer adds#
- Silver cards — earned through ranked play; tradeable versions of base cards.
- Gold cards — the rare tier, won through conquest-style competitive modes.
- The in-game marketplace — where Silver/Gold cards trade, priced in USDC (you can sell a card you won for USDC without ever owning a “crypto wallet” in the usual sense).
- Nothing else — no governance token, no staking, no earn mechanics bolted on.
Safety notes#
Skyweaver is about as benign as NFT games get — free entry, no token, earnable assets. The honest risks are about expectations, not money: the game is in maintenance mode, so buy cards to play with them, not as a bet on future growth. And as always — if you ever export or connect the Sequence wallet elsewhere, only through the official app flows; card-giveaway scams exist for every TCG.
