Evaverse is a casual, metaverse blockchain game on Polygon by Battlebound, first playable 2022. It runs on windows; free to play; a wallet is only required to own assets. In-game economy: playable assets NFTs; asset types: First Arrivals avatar NFTs — Ethereum genesis collection (Nov 2021), wearable/cosmetic NFT drops — event-issued on Polygon; tradable on OpenSea.

Maintained-for-holders state since Feb 2023: still playable on Steam with occasional event drops, but the studio's primary product is elsewhere. Recorded as pivoted — the game's own future was never re-committed.
Status note: Pivoted, not ended: Battlebound's February 2, 2023 roadmap update states 'we're pivoting our primary development resources to Project A' — an immersive open-world creature-collecting game — because Evaverse 'has yet to significantly move the needle on player engagement and product market fit.' The team committed to keeping the game for First Arrivals holders and to create 'a path from Evaverse to Project A' for players, holders and scholars. Seasonal events (e.g. Wonderland) have continued to run since, but Evaverse has not been the studio's primary product since that post.
