Galachain Nft Games Explained

GalaChain is the busiest single-studio chain in our registry — Gala’s own L1 runs nine tracked games and the spread covers the full lifecycle alphabet: one in-development flagship, two early access, three gone quiet, two in sunset, one cleanly shut down. It’s also the chain that migrated a third-party game into itself.

The cluster at a glance#

  • Mirandus — in development; the flagship fantasy MMO whose Eternal Night alpha is actually playable today (WebGL, guest play, no wallet) with dated releases through July 2026.
  • Shrapnel — early access; the extraction shooter live on Steam Early Access since March 12, 2026 — and the record that migrated onto GalaChain from Avalanche. A studio-built chain recruiting outside games.
  • Superior — early access; Drifter’s roguelite co-op shooter whose NFT characters gate the Gala-launcher build — the Steam release carries no blockchain mechanics.
  • Common Ground World — unknown; running but silent — the game page is live while the newest dated official post is December 2024. Not dead, not verified-active either.
  • Vexi Villages — unknown; mobile early access launched April 2025, newest dated update November 2025 — the same running-but-silent shape.
  • Echoes of Empire — unknown; the 4X space MMO that launched January 2024, was handed to a new owner that June, then went silent — its own domain died by late 2026 while the Gala game page still serves.
  • Champions Arena — sunset; OneUniverse’s turn-based RPG moved into GalaChain’s sunset phase on January 27, 2026 alongside Eternal Paradox and Treasure Tapper — still running for existing players, no final shutdown date announced.
  • Eternal Paradox — sunset; NDream’s 4X strategy with turn-based RPG battles on ~42-day seasonal resets — moved into the sunset phase January 27, 2026 alongside Champions Arena and Treasure Tapper, still serving seasons with no final date.
  • The Walking Dead: Empires — shut down; sunset announced April 29, 2025 with a stated last-playable date (July 31, 2025) — the clean, documented ending.
  • Dragon Strike: Puzzle RPG — active; the match-3 RPG (web2 since 2019) where max-level Heroes mint to GalaChain NFTs via Scroll of Minting and weekly leaderboards pay $GALA — still running events.

The pattern: a studio chain, honestly run#

GalaChain’s distinguishing trait isn’t scale — it’s that the operator behaves like one: announcements are dated, sunsets are announced with end dates (Walking Dead Empires), and its platform page even documents a disclosed August 18 exploit — transparency other chain operators don’t match. The offsetting reality is the same studio-risk shape as Flow: everything on the chain shares Gala’s gravity, and three of nine records sit in the silent-unknown band where running ≠ communicated.

What ownership looks like on GalaChain#

Assets on GalaChain follow the studio’s own pattern: deeds and items — land deeds, worker deeds, weapons, supplies, character assets — live on Gala’s chain (earlier Ethereum-era drops were consolidated onto it), and the Gala store is the market layer. Playing and owning are deliberately separable: The Walking Dead: Empires was free to start with a Gala account while deed NFTs provided optional utility boosts — the wallet requirement on each profile records that split. The chain’s documented exploit history (disclosed August 2025) is the counterweight worth knowing before valuing that convenience.

How we classify this cluster#

One in development, two early access, three unknown, two sunset, one shut down — a chain with a real spread of lifecycle states and a transparency record better than most. Per-record evidence sits on each profile; the set is browsable via the registry index, verified on the schedule described at how we verify.
