How to Start Playing Guild of Guardians

ByNFT Video Games Editorial Team

Guild of Guardians is a free squad-based fantasy RPG for iOS and Android — assemble a team of Guardians, clear dungeons, and chase seasonal loot. You can download and play the whole thing without touching a wallet; the NFT layer only matters when you decide you want to own and trade heroes.

What Guild of Guardians is#

A mobile action-RPG from Mineloader on the Immutable stack: you build a five-Guardian squad across factions and classes, run dungeons, and push seasonal progression. It’s in active live service — the “Call of the Wild” event and Frostmire region are live, and Guild Wars is the announced next mode.

Requirements#

  • An iOS or Android device — it’s on the App Store and Google Play.
  • That’s it. No wallet, no purchase, no account setup beyond the usual mobile-game sign-in to start playing.

The start#

  1. Install Guild of Guardians from your app store.
  2. Play through the intro and early dungeons with the free Guardians the game gives you — squad-building, not spending, is the early game.
  3. Push the current seasonal content (Call of the Wild / Frostmire) once your team stabilizes.
  4. Only when you’re sure you like it: decide whether you want any heroes as owned, tradeable NFTs — that’s where Immutable Passport and the token layer come in.

What the NFT layer adds#

  • Guardian NFTs — heroes you actually own and can trade on Immutable-powered marketplaces, separate from the free roster the game hands out.
  • Immutable Passport — the wallet option if you do go the ownership route; it’s a sign-in-based wallet, so it’s the friendlier end of crypto onboarding, but it’s still optional for playing.
  • $GOG utility token — sits under the economy layer; you don’t need it to play.

Safety notes#

Guardian NFTs are cosmetic-to-meaningful assets in a live economy — their prices move with the game, not with any promise. Buy heroes because you want to play them, not because the token chart looked interesting. And the usual: only install from the official App Store / Google Play listing and only link a Passport wallet through official Immutable flows — fake “GOG airdrop” pages are a standing scam shape.
