How to Start Playing Amiko Legends

Amiko Legends — Aurory’s extraction creature-collector, formerly known as Seekers of Tokane — is one of the genuinely free starts in the registry: open beta playable with no wallet, no purchase, no NFT. Here’s how to get in and where the optional crypto layer sits.

Which Aurory is which, today#

Aurory’s current live product is Amiko Legends — a roguelite RPG built around collecting creatures called Amikos. It was rebranded from Seekers of Tokane in October 2025 (Nefties became Amikos), so older guides citing Tokane are describing this same game. The studio raised about $11M early on for Solana gaming and is now expanding beyond crypto audiences — a Steam page is live with Early Access announced.

Requirements#

  • A device — the open beta runs at app.aurory.io (browser) and there’s an Android build; Steam Early Access is announced for PC.
  • A wallet — optional — the beta plays without one. Amiko NFT creatures and the AURY/OKA earn economy need the optional Solana web3 layer, only if you choose to use it.
  • Nothing else — free to start is real here, not a trial.

The free starter path#

  1. Open the official site (or the Steam page if you prefer a client) and jump into the open beta.
  2. Learn the extraction loop — runs, creatures, the collect rhythm — before deciding whether the collectible layer interests you.
  3. Only if you want the ownership side: set up a Solana wallet and look at Amiko NFTs on the Aurory marketplace or Magic Eden.

What the assets do#

Amikos are the collectible creatures (NFTs); cosmetics exist alongside. AURY and OKA tokens power an optional earn economy — we describe mechanics only, never prices. The registry profile carries the full asset list and access model; what game NFTs actually do explains the mechanics.

The 2026 context#

Active and outward-moving: open beta live, Android build, and the Steam push signals a deliberate expansion past the crypto-native base — the opposite trajectory from a winding-down record. Patch notes were maintained through early 2025 versions; the current docs host is intermittently reachable, which is a transparency gap worth knowing rather than a death signal — the live surfaces (site, beta, Steam, socials) are all maintained.

Safety notes#

Use amikolegends.com or the official Steam page only. Rebrands (Seekers of Tokane → Amiko Legends) create exactly the confusion phishing pages exploit — old-name “claim” sites and lookalike token links are the standard trap. No legitimate airdrop asks for your seed phrase. Wallet fundamentals are at NFTUniverse.
